Did you know?

Magnesium is involved in over 300 enzymatic reactions in the body, from energy production to nerve transmission. Many people don’t reach the reference intake through diet alone.

Why two forms

Double Magnesium combines magnesium bisglycinate and magnesium oxide to reach a daily dose of 376mg. Every amount is printed on the label — no proprietary blends.

Food supplements are not a substitute for a varied, balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, taking medication or have a health condition, consult your GP before use.

Why two forms, honestly

Bisglycinate is the gentle, well-tolerated form, but it's bulky. Hydroxide is dense, so it gets the dose to a full 376mg in two tablets instead of four or five. We print the amount of each so you can decide for yourself.

A note from Gareth, founder

I built Octi in Edinburgh because I was tired of guessing what was actually in the capsule. Every amount is on the label. If it's not right for you, email me and I'll sort it.

Questions

Why two forms of magnesium?
Bisglycinate is gentle and well absorbed but bulky. Hydroxide is dense, so it lets us reach 376mg of elemental magnesium in two tablets instead of four or five. Both amounts are printed on the label.
Why is there zinc in it?
Zinc contributes to normal immune function and the protection of cells from oxidative stress, and it pairs well with magnesium for evening use. It's 10mg — 100% of the reference value, no more.
Will it upset my stomach?
Most people have no issues at this dose. If you're sensitive, take it with food. If it still doesn't agree with you, use the 30-day guarantee.
Can I take it with medication?
If you take prescription medication, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have a health condition, speak to your GP or pharmacist before starting anything new. Magnesium can affect the absorption of some antibiotics — leave a gap of a few hours.
How long before I notice anything?
Some people notice easier evenings within a week; for others it takes the full month. Take it daily at the same time and judge it at thirty days.
How do I cancel a subscription?
From your account page, any time, no minimum term. Or reply to any of our emails and a person will do it for you.
